NCO Financial Systems, Inc., also known as the NCO Group, provides business processing outsourcing services, including accounts receivable management – or debt collection. The company attempts to collect debt owed to companies in:

In July 2013, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) obtained a $3.2 million civil penalty against Expert Global Solutions for illegally harassing debtors, according to CBS News. The FTC said Expert Global Solutions and its subsidiaries – including the NCO Group – engaged in illegal debt collection calls that included calling consumers at work, late at night or in the wee hours of the morning; calling after consumers asked then to stop; and revealing details of debt collection efforts to people other than the consumer.
